Reason for the Season...

I {LOVE} this saying and so I decided to make a board that I could hang up for this wonderful time of year! Here is how I did it:

{Reason for the Season}

Items Needed:

1- 1x6x14 board

Paint

Paint Brush

Vinyl

Raffia

Wire

Drill

Sand paper

Ink

Step 1: Take your board and paint it with your color choice. Mine is Tan.

Step 2: After it drys. Use your sandpaper and distress it and ink it all up.

Step 3: Using your transfer tape apply your CHRIST and "He is the Reason for the Season"

Step 4: Drill 2 small holes in each top corners for the wire

Step 5: Put your wire through and twist it around and around so it doesn't come out.

Step 6: Tie your raffia on and hang it up on your wall!!

LOVE IT!!

Christmas Chargers...

Another super easy project that make a great gift!! My awesome sweet friend asked me to do this saying and another for her for a charger and I fell in {love} with them. So naturally I made some for myself and it is one of my favorite parts of our decor!!!

Items Needed:

Vinyl Saying

Transfer Tape

Charger

Stand (if you want one)

Step 1: Take your transfer tape and lay it on top of your vinyl saying.

Step 2: Apply it to the front of your charger

Step 3: Stand it up on a shelf or a stand and ENJOY!!!

***You can also use paper and mod podge and cut out big letters or a saying and apply it that way!!!!*****

Glitter Trees...

What a fun and MESSY project! We had glitter everywhere but I LOVE how these turned out!! You can do them in any color of glitter you can find!! Here is how you do it!

{Glitter Trees}

Items Needed:

2- (however many you want) Styrofoam cones

Glitter

Glue/ Mod podge

Paint Brush

Paper plates

Step 1: Take you styrofoam cone and start by apply glue or mod podge onto it.

Step 2: Before that drys sprinkle glitter all over the glued area. (Use a paper plate to catch most of it if you can!!)

Step 3: Continue the first two steps until the trees are covered in glitter.

Step 4: Let them dry over night.

Step 5: Do it again if necessary. Mine I did 2 coats on and they turned out perfect!!

Step 6: Let them dry over night again! Then you can set them on the shelf or wherever you please!!!

Christmas at Our House....

Love this time of year!! I love to decorate, all the smells and most of all the atmosphere. So here is a look around at the Christmas decor in our home this year!

{Christmas Tour}

Christmas Cards....

It is the wonderful time of year to be able to send and recieve Christmas cards. I always get so excited to see what cards I will get and love to hang them up. I usually tape them to my door (gasp)! Ya....Tacky! So I decided this year I was NOT going to tape them to the door! So I found a piece of scrap wood and some clothespins and threw this together!! Here is how I did it:

{Christmas Card Hanger}

Items Needed:

1- scrap piece of wood whatever size you want

3 different coordinating Christmas papers

Mod Podge

Paint Brush

Paint (your choice)

Razor

Ink

E6000 or any strong glue

Staple gun

Ribbon

Lettering or Foam Stamps

Step 1: Take your paint of choice and paint your board.
Step 2: Take your clothespins and trace them on the back side of your scrapbook paper.

Step 3: Mod podge the paper to the clothespins and let dry.

Step 4: While that is drying...go back to your board. This step is completely optional. I used a barn red and hunter green and streaked my board all up!

Step 5: Sand your edges all down and ink them!

Step 6: Using a razor blade trim up or shave the edges of your clothespins and ink them as well.

Step 7: Using your glue, I used E6000 glue your clothespins around your board.

Step 8: Take your vinyl or stamps or whatever you choose and write your "saying" on the board. I chose "Tis' the Season!"

Step 9: Staple your ribbon to the back of your board.

Step 10: Hang it up and pin up your Christmas cards. I may have to make a bigger one next year. My pins are all full!! But this is super fun and so easy!! :) Have fun!
