Skeleton Cupcakes...

We love fall for the fall goodies. I love to bake things and to give them away! My kiddos and I decided to make some cupcakes to share with there friends and families! Here are super cute little skeleton cupcakes...found on Family Fun! Here is how you do it!!

{Skeleton Cupcakes}

Item's Needed:

1- cake mix ( we used funfetti)

1- tub of whipped milk choc. frosting, or you can make your own

1- tub of white icing

Mini Marshmellows

2-3 ziploc bags

Step 1: Make your cake mix according to the directions on the box and fill your cupcake liners and bake them. I ended up with 22 cupcakes!!

Step 2: Let them cool completely

Step 3: Frost them all with the milk choc. frosting

Step 4: Take your Mini Marshmellows and draw little eyes and a smile on them. You can use the black writing icing...or you can use some of the leftover choc. frosting and stick it into a ziploc. You snip the end off and squeeze it out!!

Step 4: Take your white frosting and stick a couple spoonfuls into a ziploc bag and snip the end off. I snipped a small hole so it wasn't super thick! :) Then draw your bodies on with three little lines for the rib cage.

Step 5: Let them dry. Then put them on plate wrap them up with cute ribbon and cellophane and drop some off to your neighbors and friends!!

Trick or Treat...

Halloween is in just a few days and I wanted to get this tutorial up incase anybody still need Trick or Treat bag ideas!!! :) This year I decided to make my kiddos some bags instead of using the plain old pumpkins we always do!! :) So here is what I did:

{Trick or Treat}

Item's Needed:

1 (or however many you need) Canvas tote ( I got mine at the Dollar Tree)

1- piece of felt

1- Quick Cut of orange fabric...or extra Halloweenish fabric you may have :)

1- embroidery floss/ black

Hot Glue Gun/ Glue

Halloween Ribbon

Step 1: Take your canvas bag/ bag from the Dollar Tree and lay it out flat. Figure out how big you want your circle!! On this bag there was a flower with sequians on it but I covered it up with the fabric!! No problemo!

Step 2: Take your circle object after you have decided how big you want the circle. Trace your object onto your material and cut it out.

Step 3: Take Heat n' bond and Iron your material to the bag. Then using your embroidery floss stitch all around the circle. I did uneven stitches...I love uneven and different :)
Step 4: Take your felt and trace the first letter of your child's nap onto it and cut it out. Using your glue gun glue the letter to the middle of the circle.

Step 5: Next take your ribbon and cut different lengths out and tie them to the handle.

Enjoy :) SOOO Cute!

I have to finish the embroidery flossing on 2 of them and add the ribbon and I am done!! :)

{Trick or Treat}

{Halloween Debut}

Here is the {Halloween Debut} of all the decor in my house. I dont have much but enough to fill our small space! :) Most of these I made myself. If not I got them from Dollar stores, or on clearance elsewhere! Enjoy!

Small Halloween Figures are from Dollar Tree a couple years ago!

{Halloween Tree} or "Spooky Tree" as my 3 year old calls it!! Super easy to make! Find some dead tree limbs...clean them up a bit and paint them black. I bought the Skeletons from the Dollar store in a package of 6-8?! Hot glue ribbon to the heads and tie them on at random spots!! Fill a jar with rocks or sand or whatever you would like and stick the limbs down inside it. Last tie some ribbon around the jar!! :) Love this!

Candle sticks! Re-purposed from old yucky red to black!! I put white candles with Halloween ribbon tied around them on top of them! Also the Halloween Subway Art! I have a new love!!!

"Boo" frames! 3 extra frames I had that I sanded down a bit. Using scrapbook paper and vinyl lettering spell out BOO then use ribbon, buttons and anything you want to dress them up! Super fun and simple :)

Vinyl Pumpkins! Also another new love!!

My front porch area!! I couldn't for the life of me find a strawbale so I used my bench!!! Vinyl on pumpkins is sooo super cute and fun!! I made the Pumpkin Patch sign out of a scrap piece of wood and bought the other small pumpkins from a local grocery store! My favorite "decor" for Fall and Halloween!!! :)

Halloween Subway Art...

My new love {subway art}! There are so many fun things you can do with subway art for any holiday or season or well...anything!! My first one I did was a Halloween one! I have many different ideas for a thanksgiving one, christmas, wedding....your options are endless!!! Here is how I made the Halloween one!!

{Halloween Subway Art}

Item's Needed:

1- piece of any size board...I used a square scrap piece of wood I had

White Paint

Orange paint

Paint brush

Vinyl lettering with lots of Halloween words

Sand Paper

Here is a Step by Step of what I did!

Step 1: Take your scrap piece of wood/board and paint it with a good coat of white.

Step 2: After your white paint drys/ Streak with a napkin or cloth with Orange paint

Step 3: Sand it down! Distress and weather it all up!

Step 4: Start by laying your lettering on to see what fits best...you can play with it, turn it different directions and then once you love what you see start applying it on to the wood!

Step 5: Take a stand and set it on a shelf next to your other Halloween decor or wherever you please and ENJOY!!!!

Halloween Hurricane Jars...

{October} one of my most favorite months is here!! I love the colors, the spooky and fun decor!! I have seen Hurricane jars in different places on different websites and such and I'm cheap...plain and simple...so I wanted to make them the easiest and cheapest way! So here is what I did. Thanks to our wonderful DI who supplied me the jars and candlestick bases for this project it cost me 3 bucks :) Here's what I did!

{Hurricane Jars}

2-? different sized jars

2-? candle stick bases (for lack of a better term)

E-6000 Glue

2 med-heavy books

Halloween Candy

Ribbon

Candles

Step 1: Take all of your glass jars and candlestick bases and wash/dry them thoroughly! Then take your candlestick bases and put E-6000 glue all around the edges of it.
Step 2: Take your jar and place it centered on top of the glue and press down firmly.

Step 3: Take your medium heavy books and place them evenly on top (Warning: make sure it is stable and centered before assuming it is and letting go! It will CRASH!)

Step 4: Let them dry over night or for the day

Step 5: Take your Halloween Candy of choice and fill them with different kinds

Step 6: You can also put vines/ candles/ pumpkins anything you want inside of them!! I am still waiting to get a candle in the tallest one and then I will put them on the shelf in my entry way with the rest of my stuff!! :) Coming up is a debut of all the Halloween decor and some fun new things I have made!!!

{ Halloween Hurricane Jars}
